Glastonbury Grange News for May

By Kathryn Ruff

  MAY 1, 2014 --

Glastonbury Grange members please note some changes in the refreshment committees.  We have had to switch some folks around.

Please all take note of the food sale and tag sale.  Members will be receiving a phone call and I hope you all can help in some way.  We appreciate all your assistance in the past and look forward to seeing you and talking with you in May.  May 10th and June 14th are the last two card parties for the season.  Hope you can support us in these two card parties.  We have had pretty good turnout this season.

June is Election of Officers.  Do try to be in attendance to help with electing those who will serve in an office for the coming year.  We all would love to see more members in attendance.  As I am typing this it is Apr. 3 and our meeting night.  The Baking Contest is this evening so I will be able to give you the results of the judging in the next issue.  I hope there are a few ladies or gentlemen making something for the needlework contest and the craft contest and also the Decorate a Shoe Contest.  Let me know if you are.  The State Judging is in June.  The entries must be at Cheshire Grange Hall on June 7 for the judging and June 8 is “Let’s Celebrate” Day when everything is on display.  June 3 is the Pomona judging of all the items, and the first place items all go to the State Judging.

I wish all an enjoyable spring.  Hope to see some of you at our upcoming meetings.
