Around The Grange
Winchester Grange May Musings

By Todd Gelineau, Winchester Grange President

  APRIL 30, 2014 --

After a successful Cabin Fever Craft & Bake Sale in March we rolled into our Spring Super Prize Party on April 25 with a good turnout of the public and a great assortment of penny auction items “up for grabs.”

Our next event will be an open meeting on May 13 that will feature the Cherry Brook Chimes Bell Choir directed by Winchester Grange’s own Mary Lou Keefe.  The evening will kick off at 6 P.M. with a community potluck supper followed by the open meeting/concert program at 7:30.  The public is welcomed and we would love to see visiting Grangers as well from near and far.

Many, many donations of items have been received for our Spring Tag Sale to be held at the hall on May 24 from 9 to 2 P.M.

Looking further ahead, our highly anticipated (especially by the public) Strawberry Festival will be held on Father’s Day, June 15 from 2:30 to 5:00 P.M. rain or shine at the Grange Hall.  As always, we have the area’s largest servings of Strawberry Shortcake around—no need for a meal afterwards—it’s a meal in itself!  See you there!
