MAY 10, 2014 -- Winchester Grange met on March 22 for our first March Saturday meeting. While attendance was a bit low (very cold day) a nice meeting and potluck supper was held. A resolution was presented on the subject of eliminating the level of Pomona within the Order. After a great deal of discussion (the intended purpose of the resolution), the resolution was tabled for action at the next Pomona meeting. Granges are asked to discuss the purpose and future of Pomona at their meetings in the interim and attend the next meeting of Pomona to discuss further.
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 12 for the conferral of the Fifth Degree, beginning with a paid supper at 6:00 P.M. ($5 per person). Any Granges with candidates for the Fifth Degree are asked to contact the Master or Secretary to aid in planning for the degree. While we will confer the degree for Inspection regardless of whether or not there are candidates, it’s still nice to know what to expect for new members.
