MARCH 13, 2014 -- Oxford Grange is hosting a series of gardening programs this spring, with such topics as planting, pest control and seeds. The next installment will be held on March 13th at 7:00 PM on the topic of Outdoor and Container Planting. It is free and open to the general public.
The series began back on February 13th with a session on Composting and Garden Prep, and the second installment was held on February 27, where the discussion was on how to choose seeds for planting. The program will consist of six sessions and will run for three months with two sessions per month.
All sessions will be at Oxford Grange Hall located at 482 Oxford Rd/CT Route 67 in the center of Oxford, between the Oxford Center Firehouse and Center School.

February 13-composting, garden preparation, and starting seeds under grow-lights
February 27-choice of seeds for planting
March 13-outdoor and container planting
March 27-round table discussion of topics to be chosen by attendees
April 10-pest control-weeds, insects and larger animal pests
April 24-seedling swap, discussion on garden problem solving, and fall gardening |
