Around The Grange
Winchester Grange March 2014 Musings

By Todd Gelineau, Winchester Grange President

  MARCH 7, 2014 --

The weather seems to be turning, at least for Winchester Grange, as we have not had to cancel any recent meetings with storms arriving on days other than Tuesdays!  Hopefully we’ll be snow-free before long!

Two meetings are scheduled for March with a potluck preceding the March 11 meeting.  All are welcome to join us.

Saturday, March 29 will be our annual spring Cabin Fever Craft & Bake Sale held at the Grange Hall from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.  Vendor spaces are still available, but always sell out, so get in touch with us soon if you are interested (860) 307-1522; info@winchestergrange.org or (860) 482-2733; lecturer@winchestergrange.org.

In addition to the many different crafts and baked goods for sale that day will be homemade soups and sandwiches served by the Grange.  It’s a fun day and a great opportunity to see friends you may not have seen since winter set in.

Plans are underway for a special open meeting on May 13th when the Cherry Brook Chimes Bell Choir will present a musical program.  We thank Sister Mary Lou Keefe for making this program possible — we hope you will all join us and fill the hall for this program.

Mar. 11:  Luck of the Irish, Ref. Potluck Supper, 6 P.M.

Mar. 25:  CWA Program, Ref. Fran & Charlie Cooper

Mar. 29:  Cabin Fever Craft & Bake Sale, 9-2 P.M.
