FEBRUARY 4, 2014 -- Our December meeting had to be postponed for a week due to inclement weather. Previous commitments of various members caused our numbers to be a bit depleted; but we were warmly welcomed by Lyme Grange. Anne Marie’s holiday program was lots of fun and the refreshments were plentiful and delicious. Because Wilma Zemko can no longer attend our meetings, her office has been declared vacant and Amy Wininger of Lyme Grange was elected to the office of Flora for the remainder of the term. We miss Wilma very much and wish her the best.
Our February movie night will feature “Hotel for Dogs” and will be preceded by a potluck supper at 6:00 PM. There will be popcorn and candy for the movie.
Start practicing for the talent and A Number night on March 8. Subordinates within a Pomona may join forces for the A Number program. We believe Gardening in Connecticut is the theme again this year. Check with our Lecturer. Anne Marie tells me our School of Instruction will also take place that evening.
It’s time for our annual movie,
We’re hoping there won’t be snow.
So cook up your favorite recipe
And come and enjoy the show.
