FEBRUARY 9, 2014 -- For our March 27 meeting there will be a change in our program. We are planning to have a local beekeeper talk about beekeeping. There will be more on this next month.
Our original meeting was to be held on Dec. 12th but was postponed to Dec. 19th because of predictions of bitterly cold weather.
On December 19th we finally held our annual Christmas Meeting. We exchanged Christmas cards with one another. We had a short program of Christmas poems, readings and a challenge figuring out the right order of the words to the song “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus.” Now if only I knew all of the words to the song to compete! We started a round-robin of exchange of our grab bag gifts. The round-robin began from a reading where we had to pass the gift to the person to our left every time the word “and” was read. This turned out to be really fun especially when the word was repeated often in a sentence. Afterwards we had refreshments which my favorite snacks are freshly baked Christmas cookies!
