DECEMBER 24, 2013 -- This is an update to our last post on the passing of Granger Robert Brockett. More info will come as it becomes known.
Funeral Arrangements for our Dear Brother Robert Brockett. 4 of us visited Fran yesterday....she is doing as well as can be expected....latest update:

"Dear Friends,
Bob Brockett, a long-time member of First Congregational Church in Granby and the Farmington Valley Association of the United Church of Christ, passed away on Sunday, December 22nd.
He was an active member of First Church, the Grange- State as well as National (always at the BIG E Grange building) and the Masons. Beside his wife Fran, he also leaves his sons Rob and Bill and a daughter Betsy.
Calling hours will be at the Carmon Funeral Home in Granby from 4-6p. The Masons will offer an Evergreen service from 6-630pm -- all are invited.
A Memorial Service will be held at First Congregational Church, in Granby on Saturday, December 29th at 11am. A reception will follow in Cook Hall. Please continue to hold Fran and their children Rob, Bill, & Betsy in your prayers. "
May we find comfort and peace in the ever-present love of God, and may we all find the peace as we know God holds Fran under his wing and offers a Peace that only God can give."

One year ago BOB wrote on a book he was reading "John C Maxwell" and which was Bob's philosophy most of the time and his optimism showed in all he did past and currently with our Grange:

The Hope is that ALL individuals treat each other with respect. One on one. The one that gets a hand-up turns around and offers a hand-up to another in need etc.
