| DECEMBER 1, 2013 -- Fall is here and can’t make up its mind to act like summer or winter.
Hillstown Grange #87 is officially 125 years old, we had our celebration on November 10th, pictures next month. For a present to the old Grange Hall we borrowed money from the State Grange and had a new roof put on. All the roofs since the hall was built were still on starting with the wood shakes.
November and December we will only be having our first meetings of the month with the Holidays filling in for the second meeting so Happy Holidays to All.
January 23 meeting is going to be a Garden Dreaming and planning night starting with a free soup dinner from 6 pm to 7:30 pm followed by work groups and planning help for new gardeners. Several garden experts and teachers will be on hand to discuss seed starting and how to prepare garden beds. Our contest seeds will be handed out at this meeting.
February 27 we will have experts from the first Hydroponics farm in our area discussing how to set up hydroponics garden on small scale back yards. |
