Granby Grange News for November

By Vivian C. Shaw

  NOVEMBER 1, 2013 --

Fifteen Granby Grangers and a guest attended an open meeting and lunch at Windsor Locks Diner in October.

Master Roseanne Smith, Overseer Charles Hunderlach, Lecturer Charle Smith, Steward Conrad Krupa, Treasurer Carl Innes, Ceres Jacqueline Krupa, Stephen Gilhay, Vivian and Lyall Shaw, former West Suffield member Dorothy Hinckley, Robert Sheldon and Gertrude Hastings, former Tunxis member Pamela Covington, Deanne O., and Joan Goetjen.

Granby Grange Agricultural Fair and Barbecue was held on September 6 and 7.  The chicken barbecue featured three string musicians during dinner and all were able to enjoy fun with members and guests.

On Saturday, at the Fair, we had many entires including one from a four year old and even three 84 year olds entered.  The fair featured fruits, vegetables, flowers, pies, jams, jellies, pickles and crafts as well as a photography booth for us to see.  All were there, even Annabelle the Clown visited.  Thank you to all involved.  It was great.  See you next year.
