| OCTOBER 8, 2013 -- Past Meetings in August:
August 22: “Mystery Ride” - We had a business meeting and discussed our upcoming fair on Sept 14th. Most of the fair books are in their places and tickets have been printed up for the chicken barbecue.
Our mystery ride was a short one up the street to a restaurant called Rocking Rob’s. Rocking Rob’s is a 50’s themed restaurant which specializes in seafood but has standard fare such as hot dogs and hamburgers. The restaurant was brightly lit and the decor was white and red and the seats where done in vinyl in the same color scheme. There were a lot of neon signs and there was juke box with real vinyl records and Roy Orbisonís Pretty Woman was playing in the background. Since we came after dinner we came for dessert. The sampler ice cream consisting of 4 different flavors was quite good. While some had the blackberry ice cream was also was very good. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
