SEPTEMBER 6, 2013 -- Save the date! All roads will lead to 12 Goodhill Road in Weston on Sunday, September 8, when Norfield’s 45th Annual Grange Fair begins at 10 A.M. By 3 P.M. the professional judges will have picked the winners in 10 departments and 45 categories, including three new ones, “Best Tomato,” “Best Homemade Hooch,” and “Best Cupcake in Connecticut.” The pony will have finished his pony rides, the outdoor booths will be clearing away their tables, and the auctioning of fruits and vegetables, flowers, etc. will be going full tilt.
And that’s just the beginning. We will be installing our new officers on September 10 with Master Randy Miller the all important Master of Ceremonies. Grange projects and funding for the year will be our main topics of conversation at our October meeting, and the monthly business meeting will take place on November 12.
We won’t even think about Christmas!
