SEPTEMBER 6, 2013 -- We held a very successful 49th Annual Agricultural Fair in July. Next year we will be celebrating our 50th year. Mark off the second weekend in July, 2014 so you won’t miss it. Our July meeting was a warm one. The program was held downstairs where the temperature was a few degrees lower. After learning we didn’t know too much about “fair” sayings, we held a “Country Fair” with the proceeds going to Christmas baskets. Jason Miner walked off with the most prizes.
Many thanks to Heather and Paul Ames for filling the half-barrels in front of the hall with beautiful flowers.
September brings installation of officers; then we will learn about ham radios from Daryl DelGrosso at our second meeting.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped with the food booth at the annual 4H Exhibition. It wasn’t easy without Gene; but somehow we made it and, hopefully, the kids had a great weekend. And if the katydids will just stay away a little longer, next time I’ll tell you all about awesome August.
