| AUGUST 4, 2013 -- In the midst of an early summer heat wave, we find ourselves busy with planning our fair, scheduling activities, recruiting potential new members, and completing required administrative tasks. We have finished outlining activities, now we need to make it happen!
On Saturday, August 10th, we have a Home Canning Demonstration from 10 A.M. to Noon in our hall. The event, open to everyone, will give tips and practical experience in safe “wet” food preservation. There is a suggested $5.00 donation per person.
At our regular August meeting, we will complete organizational planning for our Annual Fair, which will take place from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Saturday, Sept. 14th. Exhibits may be submitted 7 to 9 P.M. Friday evening or before 9:45 A.M. the day of the Fair. Where possible, we would like non-perishable exhibits submitted the day before to facilitate the write-up of entries.
All of our Grange friends are welcome to our meetings and activities.
