Mountain Cty. Pomona August News Update

By Todd Gelineau

  AUGUST 17, 2013 --

Since our last report, a new slate of officers was elected for the Pomona with George Russell returning to the Master’s chair for another term.  Sister Susan Addison has retired from the Lecturer’s station to take on the office of Pomona.  Sister Kim Mele is the new Lecturer.  This reporter escaped elections without an elected office but has been appointed Assistant Lecturer to aid Sister Lemieux in her duties.  As is the custom, the new officers will be installed on September 9 at the home Grange of the new Master.  In this case it will be Riverton Grange.

Mountain County voted at its May meeting to purchase a campership to Camp Berger for a youngster interested in joining the reorganized Winchester Junior Grange.  As of this writing, a young lady from Torrington was selected by Winchester’s Junior Chairman to use this campership and has spent her week in Winchester Center.

Sept. 9:  “Reports”, Installation of Officers at Riverton Grange Hall, 7:30 P.M.
