JULY 18, 2013 -- We are excited to report that Groton Community Grange has applied for its Charter and the Officer Installation was held on June 17. We will now have 9 Granges in our Pomona. Groton meets at 7 P.M. at the Poquonnuck Bridge Fire Station (Route 1) on the third Monday of each month.
Make sure you contact a Pomona Officer to find out the place, time and date of our annual picnic in August.
Plans are well underway for our big fundraiser on September 21 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the North Stonington Grange grounds. We will have a civil war encampment, demonstrations of old crafts, antique appraisals, museum exhibits, lunch and much more. Our entertainment for the day will be Tom Callinan, a historical troubadour who plays an array of wind, string and percussion instruments. Mr. Callinan was the first official Connecticut State Troubadour in 1991, and has appeared on national television.
It’s summer! The weather is finally warm!
It’s time for the beach and some fun!
Please come to our picnic. Just pack up a lunch.
We’ll eat and play games in the sun.
