JULY 8, 2013 -- What a great day we had for our annual Strawberry Festival on Father’s Day! Over 400 shortcakes were served during 2-1/2 hours! As has become the custom, the new Laurel Queen Devisha Patel attended the event along with first runner-up Emily Owens and second runner-up Mackenzie Russo. All three cheerfully served up the Strawberry Shortcake to the long line of eager customers.
A very unusual event comes to the hall and the green this month with the Iceland Experience-- local radio personality Geri Griswold is organizing this event which will highlight the food, farm animals, customs and much more about the country of iceland. See the article about it in this issue for more information.
