MARCH 26, 2013 -- It is often said that one person's junk is another person's treasure. Join us on Saturday, April 27, as the Connecticut State Grange hosts three Tag Sales in various locations across the state, with proceeds benefitting the Connecticut Food Bank.
The three Tag Sales will be held from 9 AM to 2 PM, at the following locations:
• Senexet Grange Hall, 628 Route 169, Woodstock (Sponsored by Quinebaug Pomona Grange)
• Litchfield Grange Hall, 453 Bantam Road, Litchfield (Sponsored by Mountain County Pomona Grange)
• Oxford Grange Hall, 482 Oxford Road, Oxford (Sponsored by Excelsior Pomona Grange)
Community Granges and their members from across the state will be participating in this event, which is part of Connecticut's Grange Month celebration. The Tag Sales are rain or shine.
The Connecticut State Grange has chosen the Connecticut Food Bank as the recipient of the profits from the event. The Connecticut Food Bank's mission is to reduce wast and feed people by working with corporations, community organizations, and individuals to solicit, transport, warehouse and distribute donated food.
More information on the Tag Sales is available by contacting Connecticut State Grange Social Connection Committee Director Joanne Cipriano at 203-754-5863 or via e-mail at social@ctstategrange.org.
The Connecticut State Grange is an integral part of communities across the state, with currently nearly 60 local Grange chapters committed to bettering their communities through service projects and family orientated activities. Founded in 1867, the National Grange is the oldest US rural community service, family-oriented organization with a special interest in agriculture. Over the years, the Grange has evolved to incorporate the interests of all communities.
