APRIL 24, 2013 -- The Drum Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host a Victorian Tea Saturday, April 27, from 3 to 5:15 at the Cannon Grange, 25 Cannon Road, Wilton. The tea is a fund-raising social event with a portion of the proceeds going to support education.
This year’s tea will feature a live performance from actor Karen Tracy, who will portray Amelia Earhart in the one-woman show, titled Amelia Earhart. The play is based on the life of the fabled aviatrix beginning at the age of 6 and continuing until her last flight into legend. The one-woman show revives one of the most enduring romantic mysteries of the 20th Century.
Tickets to the tea are $55 and seating is limited. For information, email events@drumhilldar.org.
Checks, along with the names of attendees, may be mailed to: Daughters of the American Revolution, P.O. Box 472, Georgetown, CT 06829-0542. Please mail by April 22, 2013. Checks should be made payable to Drum Hill DAR.
