APRIL 9, 2013 -- We at the Meriden Grange are happy to report that one of our Meriden neighbors dug out the Grange and we had a Feb. meeting. We are most thankful and will be showing our gratitude in our Fair book this Sept.
We learned about the bald eagle. It was good to learn that the eagle is no longer and endangered species. We also enjoyed some Hobo stew for refreshements. Hopefully we will have all peanut butter lovers attend our March program, we will be learning aout the history of peanut butter. Our March 22nd meeting sampled the shortbread contest submissions. Please join us for some fun at our meetings.
We are also proud to announce that our own Cindy Hupper won for her needlework of a mesh canvas tissue box holder. It was quite beautiful and covered with morning glories. Cindy has been a Grange member for over 50 years!
We, as I’m sure all of you are looking forward to spring and Easter this month. A special birthday wish for our musical member, Larry Harrison, 3/15. |
