DECEMBER 3, 2012 -- Our Nov. 3rd “Membership” luncheon was a tremendous success. Invitations were sent out to 18 potential Grangers. Link Cooper,Verna Cole, Katie & Betsy Molodich and Sue Gray prepared a delicious roast beef luncheon.
Prior to lunch, our President, Katie Molodich and Legislative Director, Russell Gray, each spoke on our Grange, its community involvement and member activities. Then an awesome “Power Point” presentation was given as prepared by Jody Cameron & Katie Molodich. Lunch followed. Then Katie offered the “Welcoming Ceremony” for anyone interested in joining our Grange and FIVE raised their hands: Jacklyn Angelone, Sydney Cumbest, Diane Jordan, Amy and Bill Sebastian are our newest members!!
128 thrilled to our Halloween extravaganza (games, crafts, “haunted” trail hayride, great food & fellowship)..Mike (Molodich) said next year we will need another wagon!
By this reading, we will have taken our “Three Cheers To The USA” program to our good friends at Richmond, RI. Joining us were: Roy and Dale Evans; Milton Hershey; John Wayne; Neil Armstrong and Sacagawea! Special thanks to our newest member, Bill Sebastian, for playing the piano!
Link Cooper added a bookshelf to our Grange kitchen, repaired the podium of our President; repaired and refinished all officers stations...as our new Facility Improvement Director-he is terrific!
We had a delegation go to Jewett City to present the check for our 2nd annual “Home at Last” supper for veterans. Bill Czmyr, organizer of the apartments for previously “homeless” veterans, was most cordial and grateful!
Thanks to Verna Cole for chairing the table rentals at our Christmas Bazaar; Verna continues to be a wonderful asset to our Grange.
We had special guests at our November meeting: State G.K., Robert Buck and Camp Berger Trustee, Linda Coad!
Things are booming here at Ekonk...plan to stop by!
