Around The Grange
Gene Bromley named Granger of the Year

By Joanne Cipriano, Social Connection Director

  NOVEMBER 6, 2012 --

Our big activities for the year are over as we do not like to plan Winter activities.  We never know what the weatherman plan for us.  If you attended the Cowboy and Indian Night you know the National Weather Service (Nancy Weissmuller) said it was going to be a bad Winter as the Indians led by their Chief Gene Bromley were collecting a lot of wood.

At the State Session, we were happy to present the “Granger of the Year” Award to Gene Bromley of North Stonington Grange.  Those who know Gene know how much he does for Grange .  Many of us just know him  for his acting  ability.  If we were presenting the Academy Award, he probably would win that also.  We received many applications and thank them most sincerely for the work they do for the Grange.

We have not planned our 2013 activities.  If you have any ideas please share them with us.  They will be appreciated.  We are planning to have another state-wide tag sale.  Start collecting.
