SEPTEMBER 16, 2012 -- On October 5th, 2012, Oxford Grange #194 President Maggie Buck and members invite the public to join them for their Harvest Celebration program to be held at their hall at 482 Oxford Rd for an evening of fun and entertainment, beginning at 6:00 PM. The highlight of the program is the food collection of surplus from home gardens as well as canned and boxed food items to be donated to the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen in New Milford.
There will be free pony/horse rides, a mini petting zoo with educational talks about the animals, an antique tool display, and games for all with prizes. The Jam Good Pickers will provide musical entertainment starting at 7:00 PM. Refreshments will be served, however all are encouraged to bring an item to share.
Last year’s event was well attended and enjoyed by all. Established in 1867, the Grange is a nonpartisan and nonprofit fraternal organization. It is the oldest agricultural and rural community service organization. Please come out and find out what the Grange is all about.
