APRIL 5, 2012 -- The Winter Farmers Market at Norfield Grange, in response to popular demand, has extended its season through early June.
The market, which now will be open through June 9, has also added new vendors, including Lenny's Coal-Fired Pizza, a pizza truck from Shelton that makes pizzas on-site, according to a market news release.
Items for sale at the market include farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, maple syrup, goats milk cheese and yogurt, handmade soap and body products, natural beef and pork, wild-caught seafood, eggs, baked goods and prepared foods.
There is also a Crafters' Corner selling hand-knit hats, hair accessories, boxwood wreaths and trees, fresh-cut flowers, artwork, pottery, jewelry and other items made by local artisans.
The market is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at the grange, 12 Good Hill Road, Weston. |
