Ekonk Community Grange February News

By Sue Gray

  FEBRUARY 3, 2012 --

We were very pleased to welcome Karolyn Card into membership at our Jan. 2nd meeting: a great way to ring in the New Year! She joins our growing number of youth members!

Katie Molodich has chosen the music for the Drill Team and our young people are anxious to “get drilling”!

47 Subordinate and Junior adults and children welcomed Michael Martin, newly appointed National Grange Leadership/Membership Director to our hall in early January.  Katrina Sebastian (and her brother Colin) were on break from College  and she and her parents and entire family joined us for the evening of great food and fellowship.  We were once again fortunate to hear Katrina sing (National Anthem)!  We enjoyed the company of Shelley St. Jean that evening too; she is also on College break and she helped prepare the meal.

We are selling our homemade frozen apple pies and apple crisps. Call 860-564-2131 to order yours; complete baking directions accompany each purchase.

The Junior Grange is holding a Bowl-A-Thon in February and all monies will be donated to Subordinate: Thank You!

Our Grange activity really picks up in March, with our series of Chowder N’ Clamcakes, Corned Beef Supper and we take a program to our friends in Richmond, RI March 16th too!

We would be pleased to welcome visitors on the hill anytime!
