JANUARY 19, 2012 -- Mountain County Pomona takes the month of January off and will meet again on Monday, February 13 for a program on “New Loves.” The meeting will be held at Eureka Grange Hall in the Nepaug section of New Hartford beginning at 7:30 P.M.
Fortunately the weather was mild and the Pomona Christmas meeting went on as scheduled at Winchester Grange on Dec. 12. A gift exchange was held and a collection was taken for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.
It was also announced that Winchester Grange is interested in re-activating its Junior Grange in the new year. As it would be the only Junior Grange in Mountain County, it is their hope that it can be a Grange that includes children from as many surrounding Granges as possible, not just Winchester kids. If you know of any children interested in joining a new Junior Grange, please contact Winchester Grange President Todd Gelineau at 860-626-0326.
