NOVEMBER 13, 2011 -- Meriden Grange in conjunction with the Meriden Humane Society held a successful Family Style Roast Beef Supper on Saturday evening, November 12. A near sell-out crowd filled Meriden Grange Hall and enjoyed the meal.
The dinner was a joint venture between Meriden Grange and the Meriden Humane Society, who also received donations of dog and cat food at the door. At the end of the evening the box of dog and cat food donations was overflowing.
The Meriden Humane Society had a display booth selling T-shirts and other associated items to benefit the shelter. Members of the Meriden Humane Society also helped with set-up and serving of the dinner. Because of the success of this event, the members of Meriden Grange, 540 Broad Street and the Meriden Humane Society are making plans for more events in the coming year.
Meriden Grange is a Community Service organization with roots in agriculture, and has been an active Grange for more than 125 years. New members are welcome.
