Seed-saving workshop at Greenfield Hill Grange Fair

Members of the Fairfield Organic Teaching Farm will have a seed-saving workshop 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Greenfield Hill Grange, 1873 Hillside Ave., during the Grange's annual fall fair.

Gene Banks, former herb farmer, and Annelise McCay, an organic gardener, will conduct the workshop on behalf of the Seed-to-Seed program run by the Fairfield Public Library's Fairfield Woods branch.

The fair, from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., will include a tag sale, music, bake sale, judged contests for vegetables, fruits, flowers, crafts and baked goods.
