JUNE 28, 2011 -- The 4th Annual Taste of Wilton was held on Monday, June 20th at Cannon Grange. Lovely weather brought out both the culinary curious as well as the locally loyal to contribute to the success of this year's event.
Numerous Wilton-area vendors were present as they delighted Wilton residents and visitors alike with their delicious bites and creative concoctions. Many owners and managers were present and all commented how lovely it was to visit with loyal patrons and make build future relationships with local residents.
Attendees enjoyed kobe beef sliders from the Little Pub, fresh oysters and sesame encrusted tuna from Fish Tales Seafood, beef and chicken fajita wraps from Marianne Wilson Catering, an assortment of creative crab cakes and filet mignon hors d’oeuvres from Bistro du Soleil and much more! This was all topped with delicious treats from Scoops and more!
Vintage Fine Wines' Wine Director Rick, personally escorted patrons to various tables and booths so that they could discover the optimal food and beverage pairings for the evening. "This is normal for him," said Vintage Fine Wines' Owner, Frank Lugossy. "He is so knowledgeable and good at what he does, that I've seen him perfectly pair a wine down to the preparation and sauce which a patron planned to prepare for a holiday ham." Yes, we asked...the individual he was telling us about has since become a faithful patron and friend of theirs.
The event was sponsored by Fairfield County Bank and presented by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce. |
