APRIL 27, 2011 -- On May 3rd, three local farmers, Dina Brewster of The Hickories in Ridgefield, CT, Annie Farrell of Millstone Farm in Wilton, CT and John Holbrook of Holbrook Farm in Bethel, CT will gather to discuss their varied farming practices. They will also discuss the local food movement from a farmer’s perspective: ways to grow and raise it, how to distribute it to the community, and why it matters. Analiese Paik of the Fairfield Green Food Guide will moderate the discussion.
This free event will take place at the Norfield Grange, 12 Good Hill Road, Weston, CT (off route 57) and will start at 6:30 with refreshments and a “meet and greet” with the farmers. The panel discussion will start at 7:15 pm.
This event is co-sponsored by: the Weston Select Committee for Sustainability (www.sustainableweston.org), Green Village Initiative (www.goGVI.org) and the Weston Education Foundation (www.westoneducationfoundation.org). |
