Margaret Irene Warner, age 88, of Hamden, passed away on September 8, 2010. Margaret was the widow of Frank Warner; mother of Lawrence & his wife Shirley Warner of Yalesville and Mark & his wife Jackie Warner of Hamden; grandmother of Karen Annis, Melissa, Matthew & Steven Warner and the late Charles Warner; great grandmother of Joshua Annis and sister of Gwen E. Ferns of Hamden.

Margaret was born in Frankville, Iowa on May 17, 1922, a daughter of the late Charles S. & Daisy VanWey Hendershot. She was an active member of the Hamden-Cheshire Grange for many years, during which she held many of their director positions. Margaret was a member of the Mix District Ladies Auxiliary of the Hamden Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Hamden Plains United Methodist Church.

Friends may visit with her family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Grange Service at 6:00 PM, and may attend her Funeral Service on Monday at 10:30 AM in the Hamden Plains United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
