The public is invited to Cheshire Grange tonight to hear author Ron Gagliardi speak on his latest book "Noah's Desktionary and Allmanack."

The April 21st event will begin at 7:30 pm as part of the program entitled "Catnip Capers." Cheshire Grange Hall is located at 44 Wallingford Road in Cheshire.

In his latest work, Gagliardi is paying homage to Noah Webster, who published the first American dictionary in the early nineteenth century. The book features words he thinks should be in the dictionary, but aren't. The presentation will be peppered with humor and feline references of a comedic nature. Signed copies of his book will be available.

Gagliardi, 62, is a trustee for the New Haven Museum and Historical Society, the former executive director of the Naugatuck Historical Society Museum and is town historian of Cheshire, where he resides. He is the author of "Cheshire" and "Naugatuck Revisted" in Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series.
